About MoCo Maker Labs

MoCo Maker Labs is the largest DIY Tech Community in Montgomery County, Maryland right outside of Washington DC. With over 1800 members in our core group, we have been doing tech education and tech entrepreneurship since 2016.

MoCo Makers has the mission of empowering people to develop DIY projects, skills, and can-do attitudes. We help people make things! We are a MakerSpace, and provide a place for local makers to meet and share resources, support, and technical inspiration. MakerSpaces often give their members access to 3D Printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, and production capacities.

Fueled by personal exploration and passion, projects can be developed in teams, as group projects, or as solo activities. Regardless, knowledge sharing, openness, and innovation are hallmarks of all of our projects.

Please check out our upcoming project, the Fluffy NAS – an at home device that lets you attach your hard drives, and access them remotely. This is like a OneDrive of Dropbox experience, without the ongoing cost!

Meet the Team

Matthew Zamora

Since starting my community group MoCo Makers in 2016, I have touched on and taught many maker topics including 3D printing, tech entrepreneurship, and various circuit and basic science topics. I have mentored other founders in starting their products or businesses, and I am a fan of deep technical learning. I have given over 500 talks, and have launch multiple products through crowdfunding.

Oleksii Panchenko

I am a professional SCADA engineer, and currently work with control systems in industrial manufacturing. I’ve worked with electronics since university in Ukraine. Through the MoCo Makers group I’ve lead PCB building hands-on workshops, as well as building a high sensitivity custom pH probe as part of a community educational series.

Chris Brezinski

I am involved in the FPGA project as an entrepreneur to help envision the product and bring it to life. I enjoy browsing emails in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee and a bagel. My technical interests include how technology can empower the public and help drive innovation and progress.

Kaan Beyduz

I specialize in mechanical engineering, working on things like 3D modeling, manufacturing, and thermodynamics. I am also really into design and modeling for optimization and creating simulations for autonomous systems.

Shirasa Prajapati

I am a Software Engineer and who loves creating beautiful, and functional websites and web apps. I enjoy learning new technologies and applying my learning into efficient code to bring ideas to life online.

The Community

MoCo Makers is proud to be part of a community of makers who comes together for mutual support and development.
